Byte the Bullet is a lane-based bullet hell in which you and your opponents are outfitted with Armor Creatures, virtual programs that can protect their user from real damage while also granting passive effects. In this game at Friv4, you play as a low-cost robot sent by a company to an abandoned mine covered in railways to remove mysterious cyborg monsters from the tracks so that resources can be extracted further. There is no choice but to complete your mission, if not for your own survival, then to prevent the company from sending more of your kind into this dangerous place.

Aside from moving and shooting, you can summon a shield that blocks all damage by spending a short time in one rail and then jumping to another, and you can also run by pressing shift, insert, or enabling autorun in the settings.
